RANGE
268 West Green Road, N15 3QR
No real ale
All original features removed, bar stripped and modernised. Part of the Black Boy Hotel, an imposing Victorian building. In March, 2009, it re-opened after an extensive re-furbishment as an overtly-modern, trendy bar, still under the name of Range Café Bar, but the neighbouring propery has been purchased, and incorporated into the premises as a night-club annex called The Platinum Suite; a doorway has been made in the party wall so that the night-club annex and the existing pub premises can function as a conternious entity; however, each has its own street-entrance doorway, and there is a closable, lockable door in the party-wall doorway, thus the two parts can also operate as separate entities. WOODBERRY TAVERN
618 Seven Sisters Road, N15 6JH
Greene King IPA
Realatively near to the Oakdale, the Woodberry has recently started selling real ale again. Greene King IPA was available at 2.50 a pint, expertly poured, very clear and surprisingly a good pint! Another large pub with lots of original features and another very successful darts team with trophies galore filling the left hand bar.
