Branch Newsletter

[Newsletter] [Current Issue] [Archive] [Where To Find It]

The North London Branch of the 'Campaign for Real Ale' produces a regular bi-monthly newsletter, the Full Pint, which is distributed free to many real ale establishments in the north London and central London areas. We cover all material relevant to real ale drinking - pub news, social events, beer festivals, pub preservation and history. New material is always welcome. We accept advertising from real ale establishments, at very competitive rates. Please contact John Cryne for further details on advertisements.

Submissions should be in electronic form. I would prefer you to e-mail me material (see contact details). I don't get involved in scanning hard copy, artwork or any nonsense like that. Hand written material is not accepted under any circumstances. I can handle any MS or Lotus software of any age, and most other proprietary WP packages too. Please keep formatting simple - no bold, italics, underlining (but justified if possible), as I'll probably have to change it anyway. Avoid using inverted commas for pub names, beers or breweries. Just use upper case, as appropriate.

For photos and artwork, I can support any mainstream graphics, such as bitmaps, .pdf, .png, .tif, jpeg, RAW, etc. The preferred format is .pdf, TIF or high resolution JPEG. If in doubt, please contact me. Please beware sending digital images compressed in JPEG format, as the quality is often poor. I have a broadband connection, so I would rather have the largest file you can manage, as close to the original as possible. If you send JPEGs, leave them in at the original resolution. If you have a problem e-mailing them, just burn them onto a CD and post to me (PC please, not Mac). Please do not send images pasted into Word documents - the quality is almost invariably awful - I'd rather have the originals.
