Exciting developments at North Nineteen.

Local residents Tony and Karen Cullen are the new operators of the North Nineteen at 194 - 196 Sussex Way, N19 4HZ. This 1950s pub, which had been closed for about ten months, is well worth a visit for its three regular ales - Black Sheep Bitter, Adnams Broadside and London Pride - and its home cooking as well as its music. However, in April it is planned to offer something that bit different. For the weekend 10th to 13th April, Tony plans to put on a beer and cider festival and what's unusual is that you can vote for the beers that you would like to see over the weekend. Tony has joined the SIBA Direct Delivery Scheme and will have ten smaller breweries beer for you to chose from. To do so you can access the on-line voting form at the events section of their website http://www.northnineteen.co.uk/. Votes need to be in by 6th March. You should also use this point to pre-register for the Festival. Why? Because if you are a CAMRA member and you pre-register then you will get 30p a pint off all your beer and cider at the Festival, making it only £2.20 a pint. You will need to bring your CAMRA card to the event but the discount will only apply if you have pre-registered. If you don't have access to the internet pre-register by calling the pub on 0207 281 2786. As well as around 13 beers there should also be a Thatcher's cider and a barbecue.
