Guided cellar tours at the White Horse, Hampstead.

Fancy finding out more about the pint you’re drinking? The White Horse are offering you a unique opportunity to come on a full tour of their cellar so you can see for yourself how the engine room of the pub works. There will be a few dates available, the first starting on the 1st March and then a second on 5th March. Groups will be limited to 6 at a time, so that everyone gets to see every detail and has the chance to ask any question that may have been bugging them over the years! The pub hopes to dispel a few myths as to how beer is served! They will guide you through the process from beer delivery to pint glass and show you how they look after cask ale. The tour will be followed by a tasting of cask ales at the bar. This will be accompanied by a pork pie as well as a competition to win a button down Oxford shirt courtesy of Sharp’s Doom Bar. Everyone on the tour will receive a t-shirt saying they’ve been cellar trained at The White Horse!! Following on from these tours, the White Horse will be launching a Real Ale Festival, offering several rotating guest ales to tickle the taste buds as well as the 4 permanent offerings (Deuchars IPA, Old Hooky, Sharp's Doom Bar and Sheps Master Brew). This is likely to start on the evening of 7th March and run for around two weeks - watch this web site for details of the beers and contact the pub to book your interest for the cellar tour (020 7485 2112). Card carrying CAMRA members will have a special reason to attend the Festival as they will get their beer at a reduced £2.50 a pint.
