London Drinker Beer and Cider Festival

Reprieve for London's Longest Running Beer Festival?
The London Drinker Beer and Cider Festival is celebrating 26 years at the Camden Centre this March making it the longest running beer festival in the same venue in London.
But the future of the event remains uncertain after this March.
Christine Cryne, the Festival's Organiser said "We have seen that the plans in Camden to build a new Town Hall rather than move into the Camden Centre so we are hopeful that the Council will allow this venue to continue. It's our home and we and all our visitors would miss it greatly - there is nothing like it in the whole area. Regardless, we are intending to have a really good event in 2010. But that's not difficult with 70 plus real ales, imported beers and real ciders".
Christine added "This year's logo was designed with the thought that the 2010 event might be its last one but also continuing our transport theme. It should be noted that no harm will come to the cat despite the look on its face!"
The Festival is run entirely by volunteers including the kitchen, which cooks a whole range of different dishes including two daily specials.
The Festival is at the Camden Centre, Bidborough Street, WC1 and is open 12-3; 5-10.30 Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th March; 12-10.30 Friday 12th March. Entrance fees apply in the evenings and all day Friday.
