Festival Poster

The London Drinker Beer and Cider Festival will be held from Wednesday 10th to Friday 12th March 2010, at the Camden Centre, Bidborough Street, London WC1 (opposite St. Pancras Station).

Beer lists and tasting notes for the London Drinker Beer Festivals held over the past few years can be found on the Beer List page. A list of the expected beers for this years festival will be available closer to the date.

Beers on order for the Beer Festival include London Brewers: Brodies, Fuller's (including one firkin of draft Prize Old Ale, available from Thursday if it has settled), Redemption (the new Tottenham brewer) and Sambrooks. We will also have Young's London Gold, a selection of beers from breweries that were in operation when the Festival started in 1985 plus lots of not so well known beers. The list will be put on the website as soon as the final order is confirmed. Thanks for your patience.

This is one of the few festivals where CAMRA volunteers do the catering, and we pride ourselves on the variety and quality of the food on sale.

Food is served in the side hall for lunch between 12.30pm and 2.30pm and in the evening from 5.30pm until 10.00pm latest. We cook two home-made special dishes each day, one of which is vegetarian. This year sees the return of two popular dishes along with four new ones, including Gordon Brown's favourite.

Wednesday - Lamb and Cannellini Bean Casserole
Chick Peas and Broccoli in Mustard Sauce
Thursday - Jamabalya
Rumbledethumps
Friday - Beef in Stout
Mozzarella Vegetable Bake

On all sessions, we'll be serving the superb O'Hagan's premium quality pork sausages in French bread or with mashed potato and baked beans. We make our own Mushroom, Cheese and Beer Pate using a different real ale each year, served with French bread.

If you are a CAMRA member, and fancy helping out, then print out the staffing form and send with your membership number to Ian McLaren, 87 Anthill Road, London N15 4AR. Alternatively contact Ian McLaren by email at ian.mclaren@blueyonder.co.uk.
