Membership

Meanwhile, on the membership front - in August, at the Great British Beer Festival, our branch gained fifty-three new members. Whether or not this is a record, I've no idea but it's a pretty encouraging statistic and before you say "they were probably drunk at the time of signing", I can verify that I've seen folk go in, collect their glass and head straight for the membership stand. (OK, so I told them that they could have free beer all week if they join but all the same). What is also enlightening is that I see an ever increasing amount of female members of all ages as well as young people joining our ranks. In fact, a whole cross-section of people. Maybe our campaign's CAMPAIGN is working? Well, new members may be interested in joining me on a New Members special social outing, the venue and date still to be confirmed but it will be in zone 1, most probably after Christmas.
