Beer On The Web
by Laurence Fryer
Laurence Fryer presents a selection of the web's independent links to beer and beer related information.
http://www.realbeer.com/
A US site that has a close focus on the stuff we get over here and that our more enlightened continental cousins choose to tipple. Lots of links to local and international news items and discussions. You can sign up for emails and updates etc. Quick loading and easy on the eye, Realbeer is definitely worth a visit.

This site is hosted on the realbeer.com server and is enthusiastically run by Richard Stueven a former telecoms engineer. Plenty of quick loading pages and lots of user feedback plus a huge links section.

Beer Advocate: "There are no beer experts, just beer drinkers with opinions." Well laid out with an excellent "Beerfly" section for the thirsty world traveller looking for a brew around the world. Reviews of bars follow including our very own Wenlock Arms scoring a respectable 4.65 out of 5.

Beer coated CDs. A Melbourne DJ and scientist has come up with a new way to update CD collections - dip them in beer and let them dry before playing them. The discovery, known as an "optical bio-computer", is the brainchild of Cameron Jones.

Well someone had to get this web address! You are invited to click on arrival what country you are from as long as it's the US, Canada or France. Yep, France. Oddly, the Canadian option makes no mention of being bi-lingual. Once you've made your choice there's no getting back easily to the start page. Mostly geared around the lads and lagers lifestyle whilst seemingly over-looking the point that it's the beer that you're here for. Has a beer finder on the site although it hadn't heard of Adnams. A little too commercial in feel for my tastes.
http://www.allaboutbeer.com/
More of a promotion site to the "All about Beer" magazine. Well laid out with clear fast loading links to lots of international beer news. Also has a brewpub finder section which a cursory glance of the Massachusetts section makes me think a call in advance is recommended.
