Duke of Hamilton in Hampstead is North London CAMRA Pub of the Year for 2002.

At a recent Branch Meeting at the end of April, North London CAMRA Branch members voted on their Pub of the Year selection for 2002. With a field of 9 contenders, the selection was the tightest for many years. However, after the second round of voting, the prestigious award went for the second time in recent years to the Duke of Hamilton (23 New End, NW3) the pub previously being Pub of the Year in 1997. Publicans Michael and Mary Wooderson can be seen (above) upon hearing of the news. The formal presentation will take place in the pub on the evening of Tuesday 25th June 2002. See the next edition of the Full Pint for a full report.
