When will we get a full pint?
You may recall that just before the last General Election we were told that the government was thinking of resurrecting the legislation concerning the use of lined beer glasses in pubs to ensure full measures for customers. Of course, the last Conservative government proposed this over ten years ago but the move was effectively kyboshed by intensive lobbying of MPs by the brewing industry. Now cynics would argue that we should have expected the current government to throw away the pre-election sweetener pill once the election was won. Well, I wouldn't like to tow that line but I didn't hear the legislation mentioned in the Queen's Speech. Did you?
